Ring A Pin Summer

Traveling to the beach in the summer is a tradition with my family. There is something about the beach that gives you a relaxed peace of mind. Often the beach vacations are much needed so our parents, aunts and uncles, and grandparents can feel young again. It's always fun to see such a youthful side to all the adults.

A good portion of our time is spent on the beach playing our Ring A Ping game. We pair up, set up a tournament, and play all week long. The fun part is all the kids can play and all the adults. Considering the 20 year age gap, at minimum, between the kids and adults no one really has the advantage.

Usually when we play the sun going down is what keeps us from playing all night. It's always fun to see other families watching our exciting competition and laughing along with us. If it wasn't for our family Ring A Pin tournament our vacations would be a complete bust.

I can't wait until next summer so I can show every one up in the Ring A Pin Tournament!

Ring-A-Pin Winter Olympics

It's still cold outside but my family has been bugging me to play our famous backyard game, Ring-A-Pin. So this past Sunday, when the ground was snow covered, we challenged ourselves to a game. The snow only sat about 3 inches high but the ground was so hard we had to pre-dig the holes for the ringers. Once the game was set up it became a great family game and tournament. We had a pot of chili on the stove, hot chocolate roasting in the kettle, and a fire burning in the pit. All the festivities made for a perfect "Family-Sunday" afternoon and now we plan to keep this tradition alive for every big snow fall that comes our way.

Have A Happy Ring-A-Pin Day!
